Job summary

ProMedica Memorial Hospital Laboratory is seeking a Part-time Phlebotomist to join our team. You will collect specimens for procedures, perform testing, and handle pre-analytic tasks such as centrifugation, decanting, and packaging.

You will use QA data to improve service quality and support training for new staff. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and phlebotomy training or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• A diploma from an accredited phlebotomy training institute OR one year phlebotomy experience.
• Successful completion of an academic program which included substantial practical clinical phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect products and/or specimens for procedures and perform testing.
• Perform pre-analytic tasks including centrifugation, decanting, specimen distribution and packaging.
• Follow strict asepsis/antisepsis principles and use QA data to improve services and address quality issues.
• Assist in training new associates or students.
