ProMedica is seeking a Phlebotomist for Defiance Regional Hospital in Defiance, OH. You will collect specimens and perform testing while caring for patients before, during and after collection, and prepare samples with pre-analytic tasks such as centrifugation and packaging.

You will use QA data to improve services and address quality issues, maintain asepsis/ antisepsis, and help train new associates or students.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a formal phlebotomy training program or documented phlebotomy experience (venipunctures, puncture techniques, blood draws).
• Must be able to differentiate colors.
• 1 year of experience in phlebotomy or a related field.

Responsabilidades

• Collect products and/or specimens for procedures and perform testing while caring for the patient before, during and after collection.
• Perform pre-analytic tasks for sample preparation including centrifugation, decanting, specimen distribution and specimen packaging.
• Use quality assurance data to enhance services and address quality issues.
• Follow asepsis and antisepsis principles and assist in training new associates or students.
