Job summary

ProMedica is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect specimens and perform testing, while caring for patients before, during and after collection. You will handle pre-analytic tasks such as centrifugation, decanting, and specimen packaging.

You will use quality assurance data to improve services and address quality issues, and you may train new associates or students. AHS-focused clinical rotation and state-specific requirements apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Diploma from an accredited phlebotomy program OR one year phlebotomy experience required.
• Clinical rotation in a hospital phlebotomy program (3+ weeks) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens for procedures and perform testing.
• Conduct pre-analytic tasks: centrifugation, decanting, specimen distribution and packaging.
• Use QA data to improve services and address quality issues.
