Job summary

The Circulating Staff Nurse at Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital is an RN responsible for the clinical practice and management of patient care on weekends.

Reporting to the Clinical Unit Supervisor of Perioperative Nursing, you will organize, plan, and direct care using the Watson Model of Care for a defined patient group. Qualifications include CA RN license (CNOR preferred), 1 year in Surgical Services or 2 years as surgical tech with nursing exposure, bilingual skills (Spanish)

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year nursing in Surgical Services or 2 years surgical tech with 1 year nursing in acute care, or periop training with 2 years acute care.
• Current California Nursing license and CNOR preferred where applicable.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, individualized patient/family centered care using the Watson Model of Care.
• Organize, plan, direct, coordinate and document nursing care on the assigned unit.
• Communicate using SBAR and collaborate with care team for timely orders and discharge planning.
