Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare seeks a Circulating Staff Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care in the perioperative setting. The RN will manage patient care using the Watson Model of Care, collaborating with the Clinical Unit Supervisor and Perioperative Services Leadership to meet patient needs.

The role requires ASCs in surgical services with a focus on safety, patient satisfaction, and interdisciplinary teamwork. Bilingual Spanish skills and BLS/ACLS certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience in Surgical Services or 2 years as surgical tech with relevant nursing experience.
• CNOR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates nursing process for problem solving and planning.
• Prioritizes and organizes patient care and ensures follow-through.
• Provide age-appropriate care and apply current literature and critical thinking.
• Maintain patient-centered care and participate in patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Communicate using SBAR in hand-offs and document IPOC.
• Coordinate discharge planning with Care Managers.
• Review orders and communicate changes to physicians and team.
