Qualifications

• BSN degree required; may require completion within 5 years if not yet obtained.
• California Nursing license (RN) active.
• Minimum of 2 years medical-surgical experience; GI Lab preferred.
• CGRN or related certification preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish skills preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates nursing processes as a problem-solving model to meet patient/family needs.
• Assessments focused to patient population; recognize changes in clinical status and adjust plan.
• Prioritize and organize patient care with thorough follow-up.
• Provide age-appropriate care; adapt to unit needs.
• Apply current literature and critical thinking to clinical decisions.
• Support patient satisfaction through interactions with patients and families.
• Coordinate discharge planning with Care Managers for selected population.
• Communicate changes with physicians; act on orders promptly as needed.
