• Observe and communicate patient condition changes to the licensed nurse.
• Demonstrate age-appropriate communication and awareness of language/cultural barriers.
• Maintain real-time documentation of patient care.
• Protect patient privacy by safeguarding information.
• Respond to emergencies within scope of practice.
• Support changes in practice to improve performance.
• Organize and prioritize daily work for patients, families and staff.
• Keep patient rooms and department areas clean and organized.
• Identify quality improvement opportunities and support changes.
• Prioritize tasks and initiate changes with supervisor.
• Follow Mercy safety guidelines and report hazards.
