Job summary

Community Teamwork in Lowell, MA is adding a Residential Counselor for the Young Adult Shelter Staff program. The role includes working with young adults 18–24 in a congregate emergency shelter, delivering life skills support, and supervising site operations with trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent education required.
• Excellent customer service, organizational and communication skills.
• Crisis management skills and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with screening, intake activities and orientation of new clients into the shelter program.
• Provide guidance on daily activity schedule, house rules and policies.
• Adhere to and enforce program rules, policies and procedures.
• Oversee security and safety within the shelter site.
• Complete housekeeping duties and daily chores.
• Provide emergency crisis management to individuals.

• Other related duties may be assigned.
