Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a Respiratory Therapist at Lexington Medical Center in Lexington, NC. The role supports respiratory care across the hospital, with a focus on overnight weekend coverage and patient safety.

The position requires an NBRC-registered respiratory therapist, NC licensure, and BLS; PALS/NRP and ACLS are due within 90 days of employment. Weekend program includes premium pay and full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved two or four-year program for respiratory care.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC and licensed to practice as an RCP in NC.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• PALS and NRP required within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS required within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides respiratory therapies following department policies.
• Initiates and maintains mechanical ventilation and airway support.
• Reports routine clinical procedures to relief personnel for continuity of care.
• Provides invasive and non-invasive monitoring to ensure patient safety.
• Maintains knowledge and participates in quality improvement to enhance service.
