Job summary

Advocate Health in Lexington, NC, is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for weekend night shifts in the Respiratory Therapy Services department. Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved two or four-year program for respiratory care.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC and NC licensure required.
• BLS certification required.
• PALS and NRP required within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS required within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides respiratory therapies following age-appropriate standards of care.
• Initiates and maintains mechanical ventilation and airway support.
• Reports routine procedures to relief personnel to ensure continuity of care.
• Performs and maintains competency for point-of-care testing and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Provides invasive and non-invasive monitoring for patient safety.
• Maintains professional knowledge and pursues quality improvement.
• Ensures age-appropriate care according to Age-Specific Guidelines.
