Job summary

Four Seasons is seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide hospice nursing coverage for patients in Buncombe County and surrounding areas, including after-hours triage and admissions as needed.

The role requires knowledge of hospice care delivery, strong communication, and ability to collaborate with case managers and other health care professionals. Competitive benefits and full-time with night/weekend schedule are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with infectious disease care preferred and hospice workflows.
• Familiarity with Federal, State and Local regulations and Medicare Conditions of Participation.
• HIPAA privacy rules and regulations knowledge.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing coverage via phone and in-person visits, including admissions to hospice services.
• Assess patients' physical and mental health and report findings.
• Coordinate with case managers, physicians, and other health care providers for patient care.
• Teach, supervise and delegate to staff implementing treatment regimens.
• Ensure safe and effective nursing care and participate in after-hours triage.
