Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Respiratory Therapy.
• Associate’s degree required; BSRT preferred.
• RRT credential and state licensure required.
• BLS certification required; advanced certifications per facility.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of oxygen delivery modes and related equipment.
• Administers therapeutic procedures and conducts diagnostic procedures per policy.
• Initiates and monitors mechanical and non-invasive ventilators.
• Evaluates current therapies and recommends care plans.
• Documents therapy results and communicates with the healthcare team.
• Performs blood sampling analysis and interprets results.
• Works independently across patient care areas and uses EMR.
• Adheres to safety guidelines and completes regulatory requirements.
