Job summary

Valmont Industries is seeking a Production Lead for the weekend shift in El Dorado, KS. You will guide a manufacturing team, uphold safety standards, and drive quality, delivery, and cost metrics within a fast-paced shop.

The role requires strong leadership, mechanical aptitude, and experience with fabrication processes. Weekend-hours from 5:00 am to 5:30 pm with 36 hours paid as 40. Starting wage is $30.21/hr.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Four years of leadership experience in manufacturing setting.
• Must be able to wear PPE and follow safety regulations.
• Meet production, safety, and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of machines and fabrication; reading gauges and blueprints.
• Ability to obtain Valmont forklift and overhead crane certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shift stand-up meetings and drive safety, quality, and cost metrics.
• Supervise production personnel and communicate performance expectations.
• Train shift personnel to ensure consistent methods and results.
• Maintain area housekeeping and orderly production environment.
• Coordinate with supervisor on RCA to reduce losses and downtime.
• Monitor equipment condition and plan preventive maintenance.
• Ensure quality checks and proper paperwork are completed.
• Communicate daily on safety, quality, and production metrics.
