Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking a quality inspector for graveyard weekend shifts (Fri–Sun, 5:00 pm–5:30 am). You will perform NDT methods including X-ray, penetrant and magnetic particle testing, inspect components, and certify conformance to customer specifications while maintaining traceability.

You will also operate and calibrate NDT equipment, read blueprints, and communicate findings with engineers to minimize scrap and rework. Requires reading comprehension and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Meets RT, PT and/or MP certification requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and use gauging/measuring tools.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Certifies products conforming to customer specifications and maintains traceability.
• Performs penetrant, X-ray, and magnetic particle inspections and interprets results.
• Operates and maintains NDT equipment and conducts calibrations.
• Communicates issues with engineers and supports rework and scrap decisions.
• Maintains paperwork and record-keeping for quality control.
