Job summary

Precision Castparts seeks a Quality Inspector to perform NDT inspections across RT, PT and MP methods, interpret results, and certify products to customer specifications. The role includes maintenance of NDT equipment and close collaboration with engineers to resolve scrap and process issues.

You will read blueprints, apply standard procedures, and ensure documentation is complete. A production environment and safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables.

Responsibilities

• Certify product conformance to customer specs and maintain traceability.
• Perform penetrant, X-ray, and magnetic particle inspections and interpret results.
• Maintain NDT equipment and perform preventive maintenance/calibrations.
• Process, sort, and verify X-ray films; ensure proper paperwork is completed.
• Communicate with engineers on scrap, rework, and process issues.
• May create NDT techniques and work instructions.
