Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking a quality inspector to perform NDT inspections including X-ray, penetrant, and magnetic particle methods. You will certify products to customer specifications and maintain traceability while working closely with engineers on scrap and rework issues.

You will operate NDT equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure accurate documentation. This role requires reading blueprints and instructions and communicating effectively with team members.

Qualifications

• Must certify in RT, PT and/or MP.
• Able to read and interpret specifications and blueprints.
• Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos, and notes.
• Proficient with gauging and measurement tools.
• Able to communicate effectively with co-workers and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Certifies product conformance to customer specs and maintains traceability.
• Performs penetrant, X-ray, and magnetic particle inspections and interprets results.
• Maintains NDT equipment and performs preventative maintenance.
• Operates degreasing and related processing checks.
• Ensures paperwork is completed accurately and traceably.
• May create NDT techniques and work instructions.
• Communicates issues to engineers regarding scrap or rework.
