Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. is hiring for an NDT Inspector – Advanced to evaluate fabrication assemblies and perform nondestructive testing by ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and liquid penetrant methods.

The role requires coordination of quality activities, maintenance of NDT records, and collaboration with the production team to meet schedule goals. Evening shift from 3 PM to 11 PM with potential additional hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 7+ years of work/educational experience or Associate Degree with 5+ years’ experience or Bachelor’s Degree
• 5 years’ experience in fabricated steel environment
• Level II NDT certifications
• AWS CWI certification
• Ability to perform basic mathematic calculations and use measurement tools
• Operate NDT testing equipment

Responsibilities

• Test and evaluate products to meet specs
• Interpret reports and accept/reject quality
• Mentor Entry and Intermediate NDT Inspectors
• Perform metallurgical testing including weld coupon testing and macro examination
• Maintain NDT reports and records
