Job summary

Valmont Industries in Valley, NE is seeking an NDT Inspector - Associate to join the Quality team. You will evaluate fabricated material assemblies by dimensional checks and weld inspections, and perform nondestructive testing with ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and liquid penetrant methods under a Level II context.

Responsibilities include coordinating the Quality area to meet production goals, completing daily paperwork, and maintaining NDT reports.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 5+ years work/education experience, or an Associate/Bachelor's degree with related experience.
• 2 years’ experience in fabricated steel environment.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to use basic measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Level I NDT certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to operate NDT testing equipment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate assembly of fabricated materials by dimensional checks and visual weld inspection.
• Conduct nondestructive testing by ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and liquid penetrant methods.
• Coordinate the Quality area to meet production goals.
• Complete daily paperwork and maintain NDT reports and records.
• Communicate within the work group to ensure teamwork.
• Report issues to the supervisor and maintain workflow.
