Job summary

ERC Pathlight is seeking a Milieu Therapist to join our team and support patients in IP/Res and PHP programs. The role requires weekend availability and PRN scheduling with meal monitoring and group activities.

The position emphasizes behavior management, crisis de-escalation, and collaboration with the Clinical Manager/Director to ensure patient safety and progress. A relevant mental health degree and state licensure steps are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mental health or related degree program (required)
• Master’s degree in mental health or related degree program (required)
• Intern or associate license from appropriate state licensing board (required)
• Minimum 18 months of experience in a behavioral health or related field (required)
• 1+ year facilitating groups (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provides meal monitoring and support.
• Documentation of groups, meals and patient check-ins and observations.
• Supports Milieu including: de-escalation and crisis management; bathroom monitoring; monitoring outside breaks; conducts self-harm and suicide assessment; supports morning routine in IP/Res programs; collects weights, vitals and urine in some settings.
• Implements individual behavior management plans for some patients and serves as clinical lead for the program in evenings and weekends; leads more advanced groups.
• Covers Primary Therapists with support from Clinical Manager or Clinical Director.
