Job summary

Foundations Behavioral Health is hiring Mental Health Techs for a weekend position. The schedule is 8 hours/week with shifts: every other Saturday and Sunday 3p - 11:30p. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and there is overtime potential on various shifts.

The Mental Health Technician assists in observing, reporting, and recording patient behaviors under nursing supervision, helping to maintain a safe unit environment in line with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field.
• High School diploma plus 2 years of direct human services experience.
• Must be compassionate and understand Autism Spectrum Disorders.
• Respiratory Fit Testing required.

Responsibilities

• Observe, report and record patient behaviours under nursing supervision.
• Help provide a safe and secure unit environment for patients and staff.
• Assist with routine tasks and support nursing staff as needed.
