Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Mental Health Technician (MHT) for PRN 2nd shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM) including weekends. This role involves direct patient care, supervision in treatment and daily activities, and ensuring safety with least restrictive interventions.

Requirements include HSD/GED; a Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field is preferred. A Level 2 background check and pre-employment drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• HSD/GED REQUIRED.
• Bachelor degree preferred (psychology/sociology/social work or similar).
• Experience: six months in residential psychiatry or similar setting preferred.
• Background: Level 2 background screening required by AHCA.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care in a residential behavioral health setting.
• Supervise patients in treatment, recreation, education, and daily living activities.
• Maintain safety and use least restrictive interventions; avoid seclusion and restraint whenever possible.
• Assist with transitions and support therapy plans.
