Job summary

Perfetti Van Melle in Loves Park, IL, seeks a Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic, 1st shift AWS, to execute preventive maintenance on high-speed packaging lines and uphold GMP safety guidelines.

You will analyze machine conditions, coordinate with Maintenance Leadership and the MRO team, and become fluent in SAP maintenance and MS Office. Travel for training may be required; a strong mechanical aptitude and proactive, self‑starting approach are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum 2 years’ maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
• Computer proficiency in SAP, MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent planning and time management skills
• Willing to travel for training and certifications as required
• Knowledge of TPM, 5s, and Lean tools and concepts
• Organized and able to archive and manage machine data
• Self-starter and able to work unsupervised
• Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to service complex machines

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance on high-speed packaging lines
• Collects, analyzes, and reports machine conditions to plan downtime
• Communicates PM deliverables to Maintenance Leadership
• Works with SAP maintenance module and MS Office
• Supports mechanical repairs and component disassembly
• Trains mechanical staff on operation, repair and setup
