Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician for weekends and first shift to oversee aircraft maintenance activities, supervise technicians, apprentices, and mechanics, and ensure work meets quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

The role requires an FAA A&P certificate, 2+ years of relevant maintenance experience on large commercial aircraft, and the ability to read technical manuals. A valid US driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• FAA-certificated mechanic with Airframe, Powerplant or both ratings.
• Recommended two years maintenance experience on large aircraft (Boeing 747-400 or 777F/777-300 or similar).
• Must be able to read and interpret technical data/manuals.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid US driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and assist approved work with Supervisors within the scheduled shift.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisors and crew to ensure quality work on time and within budget.
• Ensure compliance with FAA procedures and company policies at all times.
• Monitor attendance and evaluate crewmembers.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and proper tool control.
