Job summary

West Star Aviation in East Alton, IL is seeking a Lead Avionics Install Technician to lead a team of technicians focused on delivering high-quality avionics installations. The role requires strong knowledge of aircraft electrical, electronic, and instrument systems with the ability to troubleshoot and repair those systems.

Responsibilities include coordinating project flow, FAA paperwork, and direct customer contact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience on aircraft avionics system installation, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• 2+ years of corporate aircraft experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Corridor systems is preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair aircraft electrical, electronic, and instrument systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technicians to produce high-quality and accurate results.
• Coordinate work flow and project direction; supervise daily operations.
• Process work orders, FAA paperwork, and pricing for customers.
• Provide ground and flight test support as needed.
• Communicate effectively in English and interact with customers.
