Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to support our weekend shift. You will perform general mechanical tasks, replace or repair parts, troubleshoot systems, and assist inspections on civilian aircraft.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required, with a valid driver’s license or passport ideal but not mandatory.
• Airframe or Powerplant license is required; Airframe license preferred.
• 2+ years of aviation maintenance experience for mid-level roles; 0–2 years for entry AMT I, 2–4 years for AMT II, 4–6+ for AMT III, 6+ for AMT IV.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Removal and installation of panels and components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve aircraft system issues.
• De-fuel aircraft and perform engine removals/installations.
• Operate ground support equipment and assist in taxiing and flight operations.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components; maintain shop facilities and tooling.
• Maintain documentation and navigate maintenance databases.
