Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician to lead a team of technicians in delivering high-quality work on schedule. You will mentor staff, manage multiple projects, and ensure effective turnover between shifts in a fast-paced hangar environment.

The role requires an A&P license and extensive aviation maintenance experience, with emphasis on leadership, problem solving, and communication in English.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and an FAA Airframe & Powerplant license.
• 8+ years in aviation maintenance preferred; 4+ years in program-specific airframes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technicians to deliver high quality, timely results.
• Turn over work effectively to the next shift.
• Identify opportunities to reduce aircraft turn time.
• Train and mentor technicians on projects.
• Supervise daily workload and project flow.
• Work independently on multiple projects with emphasis on schedule and quality.
