Job summary

Arbour Hospital is seeking an Activity Therapist to join our inpatient multidisciplinary treatment team on weekends as a part-time role. You will provide expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups, and recreational activities on our inpatient psychiatric units.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s Degree in social work or related field and has some group leadership experience in psychiatric settings. This role emphasizes compassionate care and collaborative treatment planning.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in social work, mental health counseling, or in a related field required
• 6 months experience as a group leader in a psychiatric hospital, partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient treatment program preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform initial activity therapy assessment to develop appropriate treatment goals
• Facilitate 4 groups per day
• Complete group documentation and communicate with other members of the treatment team via treatment planning and team meetings
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Education
