Job summary

Arbour Hospital in the Boston area is seeking an Activity Therapist to join the inpatient multidisciplinary treatment team on weekends. The role focuses on expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups, and recreational activities on our psychiatric units.

Responsibilities include initial activity therapy assessments, leading four groups per day, documenting and communicating with the treatment team, and maintaining timely records.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in social work, mental health counseling, or in a related field required.
• 6 months experience as a group leader in a psychiatric hospital, partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient treatment program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial activity therapy assessment to develop appropriate treatment goals.
• Facilitate 4 groups per day.
• Complete group documentation and communicate with other members of the treatment team via treatment planning and team meetings.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
