Job summary

Arbour Hospital in the Boston area is seeking an Activity Therapist to join the inpatient team on weekends on a part-time basis. You will deliver expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups, and recreational activities within our multidisciplinary unit.

A Master’s degree in social work or related field is required, with at least 6 months of group leadership experience in psychiatric settings preferred; you will document sessions and collaborate on treatment planning.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in social work, mental health counseling, or in a related field is required.
• 6 months experience as a group leader in a psychiatric hospital, partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient treatment program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial activity therapy assessment to develop appropriate treatment goals
• Facilitate 4 groups per day
• Complete group documentation and communicate with other members of the treatment team via treatment planning and team meetings
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
