Job summary

Arbour Hospital is seeking an Activity Therapist to support inpatient psychiatric units on weekends as a part-time role. You will lead expressive activities and psychoeducational groups, contributing to a structured treatment plan and multidisciplinary team discussions.

The position requires a Master’s degree in social work or related field and experience leading groups in mental health settings. Weekend hours and collaborative care with a dedicated team are offered.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in social work, mental health counseling, or a related field is required.
• 6 months experience as a group leader in a psychiatric hospital, partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial activity therapy assessment to develop appropriate treatment goals.
• Facilitate 4 groups per day.
• Complete group documentation and communicate with other treatment team members via treatment planning and team meetings.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
