Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Massachusetts seeks an In-Store Shopper to prepare customer orders for delivery or pickup, with weekend and holiday availability. You’ll shop throughout the store for produce, meat, dairy, and more, using handheld tech to fill orders accurately and efficiently.

You’ll learn product knowledge, deliver friendly, responsive service, and maintain a clean staging area while supporting store operations. 18+ and English proficiency required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Sufficient English language proficiency to prepare and shop customer orders.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• No prior retail experience required.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills online orders efficiently, accurately and with a sense of urgency using handheld technology and/or fixed devices.
• Ensure product and order accuracy through meticulous verification and quality control processes.
• Learn and apply product knowledge, customer service standards, and store operations to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Keep staging area organized and free of clutter.
• Handle in-store and online order returns and pickups.
• Comply with government regulations such as age verification requirements for restricted items.
• Assist with customer inquiries and provide store information.
• Maintain knowledge of product and promotional events.
• Maintain a positive work environment.
• Communicate clearly, collaboratively and courteously.
• Attend all meetings assigned by Leadership, including daily huddles.
• Support company program and initiatives, inclusive of varied checkout options, store formats and all product assortment, tools, and technology.
• Maintains operational standards including but not limited to safety and store security protocols.
• Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned by store or company leadership.
