Job summary

Avid Health at Home is hiring multiple full-time or part-time PCA, HHA, or CNA caregivers in Kentucky to provide in-home care under physician plans and nursing supervision. The Caregiver supports ADLs/IADLs, personal care, meal planning, errands, and companionship in clients' homes.

Responsibilities include safety, confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance, with opportunities for growth and ongoing staff development. This position offers non-exempt hours and community-based work.

Qualifications

• Licensure/Certification: Current certification/registration with the Licensing Board or Department in state of practice.
• CPR preferred and may be required for some clients.
• Must meet transportation, language, and cultural requirements specific to branch needs.
• Caregivers are required to possess a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick, ability to read, write and carry out directions and maturity to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
• Other Hours of Work: Varies on a case-by-case basis, variable hour employee.

Responsibilities

• Implements and provides day-to-day Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL) support to clients within their home as ordered by the physician’s plan of treatment and client’s plan of care.
• Assisting or performing personal care including baths, grooming, dressing and undressing activities.
• Elimination, transfers, ambulation assistance, and support with therapy exercises under a Registered Therapist.
• Maintaining a clean, safe home environment and planning meals according to dietary requirements.
• Providing companionship and supporting client to appointments and community activities.
