Visiting Nurse Health System is seeking a Hospice Weekend On-Call RN in Atlanta, GA. The role provides nursing care, emotional support, and education to terminally ill patients and families, triaging calls, admissions, and care plans on weekend shifts.

Ideal candidates are graduates of an accredited nursing program, hold Georgia RN licensure with CPR certification, have at least one year of related experience, and possess a valid driver’s license for home visits.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate, or BSN preferred).
• Hold current Georgia State Board of Nursing license and CPR certification.
• At least one year of experience in critical care, medical-surgical, hospice, oncology, or community health nursing.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Triage patient and family calls and admissions, develop care plans.
• Provide nursing care and education to terminally ill patients and families.
• Coordinate with Chaplains and Social Workers and interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure complete and compliant clinical documentation.
• Follow Medicare/Medicaid and regulatory requirements.
