Job summary

Visiting Nurse Health System is seeking a Hospice Weekend On-Call RN in Atlanta to deliver nursing care, education, and emotional support to terminally ill patients and families. The role requires assessment expertise, care plan development, and interprofessional coordination, with weekend shifts Friday–Monday or similar as assigned.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited nursing degree, Georgia RN license with CPR, and at least 1 year in hospice, critical care, or related fields.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Georgia RN license and CPR certification.
• At least 1 year of experience in critical care, medical-surgical, hospice, oncology, or community health nursing.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Understanding of Medicare/Medicaid and hospice funding regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and education to terminally ill patients and families.
• Develop and coordinate patient care plans and manage symptoms.
• Complete clinical documentation accurately and on schedule.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team and other care settings.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with Medicare/Medicaid requirements.
