Tennova Turkey Creek Medical Center is seeking a Part-time Switchboard Operator to manage calls and paging for weekends. The role requires courteous handling of inquiries and accurate routing to departments and staff.

Responsibilities include handling emergency communications, maintaining call records, and providing information to patients and external customers in a professional manner. Weekend coverage is required Friday through Sunday.

Formación

• 0-2 years of experience in customer service, call center, or healthcare setting preferred
• 1-2 years of switchboard experience preferred
• Proficient with telecommunications equipment and multitasking in a fast-paced environment

Responsabilidades

• Answers all incoming calls promptly and routes to appropriate department or person
• Carries out paging procedures for employees, providers, and rapid response teams
• Provides accurate information to patients, staff, providers, and external customers
• Transfers calls to proper extensions to ensure seamless communication
• Coordinates emergency codes and disaster notifications to on-call staff
• Screens and verifies demographic information and maintains accurate records of pages and calls
