Job summary

Hagyard Equine Medical Institute in Lexington, Kentucky, is seeking a Part-Time Weekend Barn Attendant to maintain cleanliness and a sterile environment across the medicine facility, including Isolation, ICU and Intermediate areas.

You will follow established cleaning procedures, stock supplies, and support a collaborative team dedicated to equine health and performance.

This weekend role supports the care team and contributes to a safe, organized barn environment for our patients and clients.

Responsibilities

• Cleans all stalls daily and removes fecal matter, wet areas, and debris.
• Scrubs walls, removes stains, and distributes fresh straw evenly.
• Disinfects stalls per approved procedures and maintains water bucket stations.
• Sweeps aisles and exterior stalls, refills dip pans, and keeps feed rooms stocked.
• Remains organized with tools and equipment and follows safety protocols.
