Job summary

Greenacres Foundation in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an enthusiastic part-time stable hand for the Equine Department. The role requires weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) with potential additional weekday days, and daily tasks to support horse care, stall cleaning, feeding, turnout and general stable maintenance.

Candidates should have at least six months of equestrian husbandry experience, be able to lift 50 lbs, follow SOPs, and communicate well with the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months in equestrian husbandry experience.
• Manage feeding and watering of horses, ensuring daily quotas are met.
• Must be able to lift at least 50lbs and stand for long hours.
• Clean stables with bedding and general facilities maintenance.
• Ability to pass post-offer pre-employment drug test and FBI background screen.

Responsibilities

• Follow Daily Sheets to complete tasks on time.
• Feed schedule and water horses; maintain hay and grain supplies.
• Clean and rebed stalls to approved standards.
• Turn horses in and out of pastures; manage fly boots and blankets.
• Maintain all equine facilities; assist with misc. duties as needed.
• Support Stable Supervisor and Equine Manager with SOPs and care guidelines.
