Job summary

Sallee Horse Vans, Inc. is seeking a hands-on barn care attendant to maintain cleanliness and care for horses in our custody in Lexington, KY. This role involves mucking stalls, loading/unloading horses from vans, maintaining health papers, and assisting drivers with safety protocols.

Excellent physical fitness and the ability to follow instructions are required. A valid driver's license and experience with landscape equipment are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Must be able to operate landscape equipment (weed eater, mower).
• Must have related experience in horse industry.

Responsibilities

• Care for horses in our custody.
• Keep barn and property clean, muck stalls and disinfect.
• Check halter tags and health papers for loading/unloading.
• Load/unload horses onto vans and assist driver safety.
• Communicate health concerns to the office and supervisor.
• Assist in truck wash procedures and muck truck operation.
