Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an EMT-B for weekend shifts (Saturday & Sunday, 10AM-10PM) to respond to EMS calls and provide pre-hospital care. You will complete PCRs, perform BLS assessments, and coordinate with dispatchers and hospital teams.

Qualifications include a MA Basic EMT Certification, MA Driver's License, and current BLS. Prior EMS experience is valued; cross-training duties may include ED support. Team-oriented, safety-focused candidates will thrive here.

Formación

High school diploma or GED required.
Current MA Basic EMT Certification and MA Driver's License required.
AHA BLS Certification must be current.
0-1 years related work experience required.
Experience with web-based applications and MS Office acceptable.

Responsabilidades

Responds promptly to requests for non-emergent and emergency calls per dispatcher instructions.
Parks vehicle at designated areas for patient pick-up and discharge.
Completes PCR and vehicle/equipment checklists accurately and timely.
Ensures vehicle and equipment are ready for response; reports issues to supervisor.
Renders pre-hospital care at EMT-B level with BLS assessments and radio reports.
Maintains professional relations with hospital staff and emergency providers.
Participates in continued learning and adopts new technology/procedures.
EMS staff may be cross-trained to assist in the Emergency Department.
Performs other duties as needed to meet department needs.
