Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician to respond to non-emergent and emergent requests for medical transportation, provide pre-hospital and hospital-based care within scope of practice, and safely transport patients to appropriate facilities or residences.

You will work within a hospital environment and EMS Services, adhering to BLS protocols, maintaining equipment, and documenting care. Ongoing learning and teamwork are essential to success in this role.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certificate 1 EMT Basic License required., and Certificate 2 Basic Life Support required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Current MA EMT License
• Holds current MA drivers License
• Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Responsabilidades

• Responds promptly to requests for non-emergent and emergency calls as directed by the dispatcher in a timely and safe manner.
• Follows Massachusetts Laws and operates emergency vehicles per state rules.
• Completes documentation and records according to department policy.
• Ensures vehicle and equipment are ready for response at all times and reports any issues.
• Renders pre-hospital care at EMT-B level and performs BLS patient assessments.
• Maintains professional relationships with hospital staff and emergency services partners.
