Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician to respond to non-emergent and emergent medical transport requests within hospital and pre-hospital settings. You will provide Basic Life Support and pre-hospital care, complete PCRs, and ensure vehicles and equipment are ready for rapid response.

The role requires MA EMT-B certification, AHA BLS, and a MA driver’s license, with per diem shifts in a hospital-based EMS environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Current MA Basic EMT Certification
• Current AHA BLS Certification
• Massachusetts Driver's License required

Responsibilities

• Responds promptly to non-emergent and emergency requests from the dispatcher.
• Operates emergency vehicle in accordance with MA laws and department policy.
• Completes PCR documentation accurately and timely for each patient.
• Keeps vehicle and equipment ready; reports damaged gear to supervisor.
• Renders EMT-B level pre-hospital care and BLS assessments.
• Maintains good relations with hospital staff, EMS providers and colleagues.
• Cross-trained to assist in the Emergency Department as needed.
• Performs other duties to meet departmental needs.
