Beth Israel Lahey Health in Burlington, MA is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician to support hospital-based transport and, when needed, pre-hospital care within scope of practice.

This weekend shift (Saturday and Sunday 10 AM–10 PM) requires MA Basic EMT, BLS, a MA driver’s license, and a high school diploma or GED. You will complete PCRs, maintain equipment, and assist in the Emergency Department as needed.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current MA Basic EMT Certification.
• Current AHA BLS Certification.
• Massachusetts Driver's License required.
• 0-1 years related work experience.
• Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel.

Responsabilidades

• Responds promptly to requests for non-emergent and emergency calls as directed by the dispatcher.
• Follows Massachusetts Laws regarding emergency vehicle operation and parks vehicle as needed.
• Completes documentation and records, including PCR, and performs vehicle/equipment checklists.
• Ensures vehicle and equipment are ready for response; reports damaged or unsafe equipment.
• Renders pre-hospital care at EMT-B level and performs BLS patient assessments.
• Maintains professional relationships with hospital staff and other emergency services.
• Participates in continued learning and adoption of new technology and procedures.
• EMS staff may be cross-trained to assist in the Emergency Department as needed.
• Performs all other duties as needed.
