Job summary

Bell and Howell, LLC is seeking a Part-Time Service Technician to support our North America operations from the Tristate area, including NYC to Long Island, with remote opportunities.

The role involves diagnosing and repairing a range of industrial equipment, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting using DMM, and providing field support across the US and Canada. Saturday and Sunday shifts are first shift; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• Degree in electronics, advanced mechanics and/or software training with 1+ year related industry/equipment experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair a variety of industrial products including printing equipment, cash recycling products, mailing and sorting machines, and other system components.
• Schedule and perform regular predictive/preventive maintenance inspections on equipment.
• Manage parts inventory and coordinate customer service calls and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Foster positive customer relations and ensure high customer satisfaction through effective communication.
• Act as liaison between the customer and other departments/functions.
• May provide on-call service up to seven days a week for emergency assistance; respond within established time goals.
