Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years in admitting, medical office, managed care or insurance required.
• Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients promptly and courteously.
• Review demographics and obtain signatures on forms.
• Handle communications via phone, email, fax, and mail.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient information.
• Use registration systems and insurance data to update records.
• Assist in training and orientation of new staff.
