Job summary

Amivie, LLC is seeking dedicated DSPs to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health, and substance use recovery in Winston-Salem, NC. Shifts Saturdays/Sundays 10am-3pm or 11am-4pm, with flexible times and responsibilities including ADLs, transportation, documentation, and community activities.

You will administer medications after training, maintain HIPAA-compliant records, and uphold person-centered care and professional boundaries while collaborating

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must successfully complete all background checks.
• Must successfully complete health screening (TB screening).
• TB screening requirements may vary by state/programing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with goal completion as documented in the individualized support plan.
• Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, grooming, toileting, feeding, preparing meals.
• Safely transport individuals in company or personally owned vehicles.
• Accompany individuals to community integration activities.
• Complete all required documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) timely.
• Engage with individuals in home and community settings.
• Uphold rights and maintain confidentiality per HIPAA at all times.
• Adhere to policies and professional boundaries; maintain ethics and objectivity.
• DSPs are mandated reporters for abuse, neglect or exploitation.
• Administer prescribed medications after training.
• Must be proficient with technology.
• Must remain awake and alert for the duration of shifts.
• Must perform physical demands (lifting, transfers).
• Other duties as assigned.
