Join Our Team as a Weekend Day Maintenance Technician at Neogen Corporation

We are seeking a dedicated Weekend Day Maintenance Technician to join Neogen Corporation's team in Lexington, KY. This role involves performing installations, repairs, and maintenance across our Diagnostic Operations (LS/TX) at the Mercer facility.

Schedule: Weekend 1st shift, from 6am to 6:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, renovate, install, operate, and maintain facility fixtures and equipment.
• Perform basic wiring, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, painting, and general repairs.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and procure necessary materials.
• Manage preventive maintenance programs and perform scheduled maintenance.
• Operate tools and equipment safely and professionally.
• Participate in safety committees and adhere to company policies and local laws.
• Operate a fork truck after training and work cooperatively with department managers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and complete related forms.
• Maintain records of maintenance and repairs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 5 years of maintenance experience or vocational training.
• Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems preferred.

Skills and Physical Demands

Ability to read written procedures, interpret manuals, and work with basic math. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally, with the ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, climbing, and crouching.
