Veterinary Technician - Emergency

Full-time: 3 day, 12 hour shift. One weekend day required.

Location: Round Rock, TX

About You
Role Responsibilities:

Emergency Veterinary Technicians perform a variety of animal-health duties and ensure quality pet and client care. The Emergency Technician should be proficient in duties including but not limited to: client care and communication, efficient patient assessments, quick response to emergencies, patient monitoring, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, patient recovery, anesthetic monitoring, diagnostic imaging, and medical math.

Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Strong veterinary skills
  • Able to appropriately handle animals
  • Able to assist in veterinary medical procedures
  • Recent experience in a veterinary practice
  • Willing to work weekends and holidays
Job Requirements:
  • At least 3 years recent experience in veterinary practice
  • Ability to perform routine veterinary medical procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Veterinary Technician license is preferred
  • Previous emergency experience is preferred but not required
