Job summary

Methodist Senior Services is seeking a PRN Weekend Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team at Martha Coker in Yazoo City, Mississippi. Under the supervision of an OT, you will provide skilled interventions to support residents' independence.

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Current Mississippi license or eligibility to practice.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Adequate computer skills to complete documentation.

Responsibilities

Implement individualized treatment plans under supervision of the OT.
Provide skilled OT interventions to improve ADLs and independence.
Assist residents with self-care, coordination, mobility, and functional activities.
Monitor residents' responses and report progress to the OT.
Document treatments and progress per standards.
Collaborate with residents, families, nursing staff, and the care team.
Follow plans of care and report changes in status.
Promote resident safety and quality of life.
