Job summary

Methodist Senior Services is seeking a PRN Weekend Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team at Dugan in West Point, Mississippi. The COTA provides skilled interventions under an Occupational Therapist to support residents' independence and daily living activities.

Under supervision, you will work with a collaborative interdisciplinary team to implement treatment plans, monitor progress, and document outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current license/certification in the state of Mississippi.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions to improve ADLs and functional tasks.
• Assist residents with self-care, mobility and independence.
• Monitor responses to treatment and communicate progress to supervising OT.
• Document treatments and progress in accordance with standards.
• Collaborate with residents, families, nursing staff and care team.
• Follow plans of care and report changes in status.
• Promote safety, independence and quality of life.
