Job summary

Resort Lifestyle Communities in Peoria, AZ is seeking a Weekend Cook to cover Saturdays and Sundays, preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner in a scratch-based kitchen and engaging with residents to create a welcoming atmosphere.

You’ll work with a set schedule, ensure safe food handling, maintain clean stations, stock ingredients, and collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality meals and friendly service.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Weekend availability: able to work every Saturday and Sunday, at least 8 hours per day.
• Ability to read, speak and understand basic English.
• Experience in kitchen preparation and cooking, preferred.
• Ability to secure food handler permits within two weeks of start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality dishes by cooking a wide variety of proteins and vegetables.
• Engage in continuous improvement by contributing ideas and staying attentive during service hours.
• Complete all opening and closing tasks for each shift and support teammates to keep a clean, safe kitchen.
• Keep stations fully stocked and organized, monitor freshness and refrigeration.
• Maintain sanitary kitchen practices and record temperatures for safety and satisfaction.
